Last week, Walker Zanger’s Turtle Creek showroom came alive with color, conversation, and creativity as we welcomed the Dallas design community for a spirited evening in partnership with PaperCity Magazine. With an incredible lineup that included Dallas design powerhouses Caitlin Wilson and Philip Vanderford, and PaperCity editor-in-chief Billy Fong as moderator, this event was a celebration of individuality in design and the materials that help bring it to life.

Laurie Ramirez, Branch Manager at Walker Zanger Dallas, kicked off the evening by welcoming guests and introducing the panel. “Our mission goes beyond offering premium tile and stone,” she shared. “We aim to be your trusted design partner, here to help bring your boldest ideas to life.”

Guests were greeted by culinary bites from Beyond the Box catering, small plates that set the tone for big ideas

The highlight of the evening was the panel discussion, Print, Pattern & Personality, moderated by PaperCity’s Editor-in-Chief Billy Fong. The conversation explored everything from developing signature design styles to navigating today’s design trends, with thoughtful discussion on how surfaces can complement bold patterns without overwhelming a space.

Caitlin Wilson, founder of Caitlin Wilson Design, shared her passion for timeless, pattern-rich interiors, along with expert advice on achieving success through social media and building your online presence.

Philip Vanderford of Studio Thomas James offered his perspective on balancing bold design with emotional intelligence, discussing the importance of sourcing materials that resonate with a project’s unique narrative.

Together, they explored the creative process behind designing spaces that reflect personality.

Guests were encouraged to explore Walker Zanger’s newest tile and slab collections for upcoming projects. With PaperCity magazines in hand and fresh inspiration from two of the industry’s leading voices, the evening left attendees energized and ready to design with intention.
